Since SSRN is all about early-stage research, a lot of which has yet to go through the peer review process, it would be really cool if we created a way for our users to indicate that they are willing to serve as a reviewer. This information could be displayed somewhere on SSRN and journals could come to SSRN not only looking for content, but also to look for potential reviewers.
Maybe we could even have some kind of function where we match papers with volunteered reviewers based on classification? When someone volunteers to be a reviewer, they could select Networks and eJournals they would be willing to review content from. We are able to set up something similar to this in our current Conference content management system so that could be used as a jumping off point.
This is an idea I have had before, but reading this article sparked it again: https://elifesciences.org/inside-elife/c5844470/announcement-elife-joins-the-neuroscience-peer-review-consortium?mkt_tok=eyJpIjoiWkRWaU1tSmtaVEU1TlRRNSIsInQiOiJJdmNSRE0zNlFTS3MrTWlMR1JQSzFQU2pnSVl5UGJLZElqaGl6dXZwdDdzaHVDVXB2NGMwUVlaRElxUTV0ZHc1cE55MmNyOUEyblAwRDNJdkxhSHVZRWNXQmM3bytaNFQ4SE5zTWFNVlVDVTZkQjg0U1QrNTZOdjRUaGpkN3UyOSJ9
